The Hundred partners with Topps

Topps joins up with The Hundred to create fun and educational cricket trading card game.

The Hundred today announced a partnership with Topps. The agreement will see Topps create a bespoke trading card game, Cricket Attax, around the inaugural season of The Hundred.

Topps has previously worked with iconic聽brands such as UEFA, WWE, Star Wars, Trolls, Minions and SpongeBob, and will produce聽cards featuring every player from the eight new men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams in The Hundred.

It is the first time that Topps has created an English cricket collection. The agreement see Topps become an official licensee of The Hundred.聽Packs will go on sale this spring.聽

Each player card will rank a series of attributes from one to 100, depending on their relative skill level. It will enable fans to play against each other with cards they collect, using statistics to create a fun and educational game. This will support the development of maths and social skills as well as introducing kids to negotiation and bartering.

Participants in Dynamos Cricket - the 黑料专区's new participation programme for 8-11-year-olds - will receive three cards each week as part of their involvement, featuring an equal split of men's and women's players across the eight-week programme.

An estimated 1.5 million children in the UK are collectors of existing Topps card ranges, making Cricket Attax the perfect way to engage young audiences of The Hundred and Dynamos with the teams and star players involved.

Sanjay Patel, managing director of The Hundred, said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to be partnering with Topps to create a fun new product that will enable us to reach young people in an exciting and innovative way.

鈥淲e have an incredible group of players signed up to play in The Hundred this year and it鈥檚 great that they鈥檒l be immortalised through trading cards.

鈥淭he players will provide the explosive entertainment on the field this summer and fans will be able to harness their heroes鈥 skills to win games against each other away from the grounds as well.鈥

David Leiner, Global President of Topps Sports & Entertainment said: 鈥淚t is great to be launching our latest trading card game in partnership with the first year of The Hundred. We鈥檙e also very excited to be linked with Dynamos with our unique offering.鈥
