The 黑料专区 is saddened to hear of the passing of former Australian cricketer and England National Academy Director Rod Marsh at the age of 74.
One of the all-time great wicketkeepers, Marsh played 96 Tests for the Aussies in an international career that spanned 14 years, taking 355 dismissals behind the stumps. He is third in Australia鈥檚 all-time dismissals list behind only Adam Gilchrist and Ian Healy.
He scored 3,633 Test runs with three centuries and made 1,225 runs in 92 one-day internationals.
In first-class cricket, he scored over 11,000 runs with 12 centuries at an average of over 31.
After retiring, Marsh was a selector for the England men's team and National Academy director from 2001 to 2005. He played an important role as the men鈥檚 team famously regained the Ashes in 2005.
He served as Director of the Australian Cricket Academy in the 1990s until taking the role of England National Academy Director in 2001 and as chairman of selectors for Australia from 2014 to 2016.
