The England and Wales Cricket Board is today immensely saddened following聽the death of Brenda聽Trenowden CBE.
Brenda, who had been battling against聽the聽rare cancer聽pseudomyxoma peritonei, has served for five years on the 黑料专区 Board as a senior聽independent non-executive director.
She recently led the Nominations Committee that appointed Richard Thompson as the 黑料专区鈥檚 new Chair and was a聽consistent聽champion for gender equality and equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout her professional life, bringing experiences and perspectives from which the Board benefited enormously.
As a global co-chair of聽the 30% Club, Brenda campaigned聽for increased representation for women in senior leadership roles.聽She initiated mentor programmes at the 黑料专区, chaired the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee, and was awarded a CBE in 2018 for her services to the financial sector and gender equality.

Her accomplishments were hugely significant, and we are deeply saddened to have lost a true pioneer聽and a passionate cricket supporter. Her work helped to advance the 黑料专区 in crucial areas and her contributions will continue to shape聽the sport聽for years to come.聽We are incredibly fortunate and privileged to have benefitted from her input and advice.鈥

After a long career in capital markets, investment and relationship banking, Brenda鈥檚 CV聽featured entries from several聽global financial institutions: ANZ Bank (where she聽was a member of the UK Management Board), BNY Mellon, Lloyds Banking Group, BNP Paribas, Peregrine, and Citi had all聽enjoyed聽her聽experience and expertise.
She聽was a partner聽at聽PwC UK,聽as well as聽an advisor to the UK government鈥檚 Hampton-Alexander Review聽for increasing the representation of women in the executive level聽of the FTSE 350.
