England Women鈥檚 Head Coach Lisa Keightley said: 鈥淚 was so proud of how the team came together to win the Vitality IT20 series.
鈥淪ometimes when you鈥檙e missing big name players, other players step up and take their chance and I felt we really did that. It鈥檚 a young group but they worked tremendously hard and showed their skill and聽resilience to get over the line.
鈥淎my did a great job as captain and she was ably supported by Sophie so we want them to carry on what they鈥檝e been doing. It鈥檚 another big series, especially with points counting towards ICC Women鈥檚 World Cup qualification, and with the summer ending at Lord鈥檚 there鈥檚 a lot to be excited about.鈥
