What does听volunteering听at the ICC Women鈥檚 T20 World Cup 2026 involve?听听
Volunteers play a vital role in delivering a world-class tournament experience. Depending on your role, this may include welcoming fans, supporting event operations,听assisting听media and broadcast teams, or helping teams and stakeholders on site.听听
Do I need听previous听volunteering or cricket experience?听听
No.听Previous听volunteering or cricket experience is not听required.听We鈥檙e听looking for people with a positive attitude, a willingness to get involved, and a passion for contributing to a meaningful event.听听
What volunteer roles are available?听听
Volunteers support across three broad areas:听听
- Fan & Guest Engagement听听
- Event Operations听听
- Media, Broadcast & Communications听听
Roles are available on both matchdays and non-matchdays.听听
How much time do I need to commit?听听
Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of two shifts.听听
Shifts will be published in advance, and volunteers will be able to select the shifts they are available for, depending on role and venue requirements.听听
Do I need to be available for the whole tournament?听听
No. While the tournament runs from 12 June to 5 July 2026, volunteers are only听required听for specific days and shifts. You are not expected to be available for the full tournament period.听听
How do I apply?听听
Applications are听submitted听online via the official volunteer application form. You can apply using the link provided on this page.听听
What happens after I apply?听听
After you听submit听your application:听听
- Your application will be reviewed听听
- You鈥檒l听receive further information about next steps by email听听
- Not all applicants will be selected, as volunteer places are limited听听
If I already volunteer at a venue, do I need to do anything differently?听听
If you are an existing venue volunteer, you may be given a venue volunteer code. This can be entered in the application form to help听identify听you as part of a venue volunteer community.听听
Using a code does not guarantee听selection.听听
Will training be provided?听听
Yes. All volunteers will receive mandatory training relevant to their role before the tournament begins.听听
What will volunteers receive?听听
Volunteers will receive:听听
- An event-specific volunteer uniform听听
- Meals and refreshments during their shifts听听
Travel and accommodation are not provided.听听
Is the volunteer programme inclusive?听听
Yes. The volunteer programme is open to everyone. We are committed to inclusive volunteering and will make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. Sharing information about access or support needs will not affect听selection.听听
Who can apply?听听
To volunteer, you must:听听
- Be 18 years or over by 31 May 2026听听
- Be proficient in spoken and written English听听
- Be able to commit to a minimum of two shifts听听
- Agree to complete relevant background and security checks听听
